I am so proud of the students today. It was so hot in our room, and yet, they pushed themselves to work their hardest on both their STAR Reading test and during Writing time. (Look for STAR Reading results in their take home folders tomorrow.) We are working right now on building our writing stamina as we write personal narratives. The children were able to write for 20 minutes today, with only one break. I was pretty impressed.

Another big thing we're working on right now, is our first History project. Our first chapter focuses on Geography. For the first project I challenged the children to come up with a way to show me that they know all of the continents, oceans, and directions. They are all working on a variety of self-selected projects that will prove they can do this. I can't wait to see what they come up with!
